  This page allows guest visitors to view practice documentation on line, download specific GP documents or surveys, review topics in the discussion forum, and review case studies where available. Registered members who are logged in can participate in Discussion Forums and submit their case study experiences for specific practices by logging in using the option in the left menu.

There are two lists of Gold Practices. The first list (Table 1) contains practices for which significant documentation exists; the second list (Table 2) identifies practices currently under development. Click on the hyperlinks in each of the tables to access the desired information. Click on the table number hyperlinks for further details about these tables. To display definitions of the practice hover your mouse over the practice name.

ABOUT TABLE 1


The practices listed in Table 1 reflect those areas where the DACS has developed substantial documentation on the practice. Each practice has been categorized into one of seven DACS Focus Areas. Click on the appropriate column header to sort the list by Practice Name, or by DACS Focus Area.

Click on the Practice Name hyperlink in the Practice Name column to view the documentation online. Online viewing allows you to navigate directly to specific sections of interest. Sections include a Summary, Description of the Practice, Characteristics of Implementation, Relationships to Other Practices, Resources, and an Appendix, each with further subdivisions.

Click on the corresponding PDF link in the Download Practice column to download a copy of the documentation for the specific practice in PDF format. The system opens a PDF version of the file on your computer and allows you to save a copy if you so desire. Note, you must have a PDF reader installed on your machine in order to view the document. The Adobe Acrobat Reader is available free of charge from the Adobe website.

Click on the corresponding Excel link in the Download Survey column to view a survey for the specific practice in Excel [Note, you must have Excel installed on your computer]. The survey seeks to capture your awareness of the practice and your experience with its implementation within your project, program, or organization. The system opens the Excel version of the file on your computer. You may then save a copy, complete the electronic version and email it to the designated Email address, or print a copy and mail it to the specified mailing address.

Click on the corresponding (X) link in the Discussion Forum column to review and/or participate in discussion topics relative to the specific practice [Note, you must be a registered user and logged in to participate].

The items listed in Table 2 are Gold Practices that are targeted for development of documentation in the near future. Currently there is no documentation available for downloading or online viewing for these practices. However, data collection for these practices is very important and the DACS encourages you to provide any data you might have by getting involved in the discussion forum, submitting a survey about your experience with a specific practice, or submitting a case study summarizing your experience with a practice. Use the hyperlinks in Table 2 to perform these functions.

The survey seeks to capture your awareness of the practice and your experience with its implementation within your project, program, or organization.
